Forres Sandle Manor: A Home for Military Families
At Forres Sandle Manor, we understand the challenges military families face, and we are
committed to providing a nurturing and stable environment for your children. With a long-
standing relationship with military families, we offer a supportive and enriching educational
experience tailored to each child’s needs.
As an independent co-educational boarding and day school for children aged 2-16, we pride
ourselves on promoting well-rounded development. Nestled in 35 acres of stunning grounds on the edge of the New Forest, our school provides a serene setting where children thrive both academically and personally. Our dedicated and experienced staff guide each student to reach their full potential while fostering a love of learning and fun.
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including sports, dance, drama, and music, allowing every child to explore their interests and develop new skills. Our facilities include three cricket pitches, two rugby and football pitches, an outdoor heated swimming pool, an astro turf, four tennis courts, and an indoor sports hall, ensuring ample opportunities for students to stay active. Our co-curricular clubs further broaden the sports offering, catering to diverse interests and abilities.
For our younger boarders, the experience is centred in the Manor, right at the heart of the
school. This warm and inviting setting serves as a true home-away-from-home, where children feel safe, supported, and connected to the school community. With seven live-in boarding staff, we ensure that each boarder receives the care and attention they need, prioritising their well-being and personal growth. Our staff are always on hand to provide guidance and comfort, making sure your child feels at home even when away from their own.
Understanding the unique needs of military families, we have established our Supporting Active Service (SAS) group for children with parents on active deployment. The SAS group meets weekly, offering a safe space for children to connect, share experiences, and learn from each other. Older children often mentor younger ones, providing peer support and practical strategies for coping with having a parent away on duty. This network helps foster resilience, empathy, and a sense of community among our students.
At Forres Sandle Manor, we are more than just a school – we are a family. We are dedicated to ensuring that every military child feels valued, understood, and supported. Join us, and let your child flourish in a community that truly cares.
